How to Set Availability Modification Rules

Knowing the availability of your employees and their work preferences is essential. However, sometimes you will want to control when and how your employees change these availabilities, if only to make sure you are aware of these changes, or to prevent them from happening even just as you are publishing your schedules. This is why it is possible to set up rules around the modification of employees’ availability.

Note that regardless of your rules, a manager can always modify the availability of his employees.

To Set a Rules Modification Deadline

The cut-off date allows you to prevent employees from changing their availability after this date has passed.

  1. Open the Voilà! web console.
  2. Head to settings.
  3. Choose the schedules and availability tab, and select Availability settings.
  4. Activate the deadline, and select a date.
  5. If necessary, add a note that will display to your employees in their profile, just below the deadline.
  6. Voilà!
